# Source-readiness checklist

From Dryvn AI — https://www.dryvn.ca/resources/how-ai-uses-your-documents

## Instructions

Use one row per document you intend to connect to an AI assistant. Fill every column before connecting the document. Do not connect a document that has no owner or no decision on who may see it. Keep one authoritative version per document; archive or exclude the rest. Review the sheet on the date you set for each owner.

## Blank checklist

| Document (name, location) | Owner | Last updated / current version? | Who may see it | Conflicts with | Questions it answers | Where the assistant should say "not found" | Review date |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | |

## Before going live

- Ask three questions the documents do not answer. The assistant should say it found nothing.
- Read the cited passage behind five real answers.
- Fix the documents, not the prompt, when an answer is wrong.

## Fictional example (illustrative only)

The rows below describe an invented property management office. They are not a real customer or a real policy.

| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |

| Tenant move-out checklist (Forms folder) | Property manager | 2025-11-02, current | Front desk, tenants on request | None | What must be cleaned, returned, photographed | Damage cost decisions | 2026-11-01 |
